The head measures 4 cm and the chain measures 60 cm.

Did you know that these faces are known as "Testa di Moro" and hide a legend? During the rule of the Moors in Sicily, there was a charming young woman who lived in Palermo. Every day he used to spend time on the balcony taking care of his plants. One day, a young Moor who was passing by saw her and was captured by her beauty and declared his love for her, which was immediately returned. After some time, the girl discovered that her lover would soon have to return to his country where his wife and children were waiting for him. She then decided to plan her revenge: while he was sleeping, she killed him. And what did she do with his head? She decided to use it as a vase for her beautiful flowery balcony, so that her lover could stay with her forever. It's great to know the stories behind the pieces, right?
