Morocco Surf 1 by Kate Holstein
The Story
A lone surfer walks back up the beach at Imsouane in Morocco, home to Africa's longest right-hand wave. I came to photograph the surf, but what captivated me even more was the ritual of the long walk back up the beach to the point where surfers enter the water before riding deep into the bay. Surrounded by beautiful reddish rock formations, the bay glows pink and orange at sunset, with those colors reflected across the wet sand like a mirror.
Shot on a Nikon D850 with a Zeiss 50mm lens.
This image is printed on heavyweight museum-grade archival Hahnemühle cotton rag photo paper using archival pigment inks for exceptional longevity and color fidelity.
