Rory Gevis
Rory Gevis is a New York–based painter and visual storyteller whose work combines portraiture, fashion, interiors, color, and a touch of wit. Rory began painting at an early age and has always been fascinated by the stories a portrait can tell—not only through a face or expression, but through the objects that surround us: a beloved chair, a patterned fabric, a treasured piece of clothing, or something collected over a lifetime. Her portraits of people and animals are at once personal and imagined, capturing likeness while creating a world around the subject. For Clic, Rory introduces Good Breeding, a limited-edition series of digital portraits celebrating dogs and horses with personality, pedigree, and a decidedly fashionable point of view. Dressed in scarves, patterns, and color, the subjects become characters in their own right—part portrait, part fashion fantasy, and always with a wink. Alongside the Good Breeding collection, Rory offers custom commissioned paintings through Clic, creating one-of-a-kind portraits of individuals, couples, families, and beloved animals.
