Gemma Orkin Ceramics

Gemma Orkin is a Cape Town–based ceramicist with over 20 years of practice, trained in fine arts with a focus on printmaking. She hand-builds each piece using the coil method and delicately hand-paints them—often featuring South African flora and fauna—in creamy, pastel glazes. Her work balances functionality and artistry, creating semi-functional stoneware that's both timeless and beautifully expressive.
