Blaise Hayward (b. 1964, Toronto) is a photographer and sculptor based in New York. In 1996 he moved to the United States, where he has maintained a commercial photography studio for decades. Throughout this time he also produced fine-art photography, and over the past few years this increasingly has become the focus of his time and energy.
The flower studies presented here were shot in New York in 2020, just as the City was entering into lockdown. Hayward began making daily trips to the Chelsea flower market, resulting in a large and varied body of work.
